THE BENEFITS and PURPOSE of CARRIER OILS

Carrier Oils are oils used to carry, hold in suspension the essential oils or other products that are added to create the synergistic blend.  Most essential oils should not be applied directly to the skin, so the carrier oil serves as a buffer between the oil and your skin.  Because I am introducing a line of new oils for the spring, I thought it would be nice to share what's contained in them.  My blends are natural and pure, symbiotic, synergistic blends that benefit the skin and body on a number of levels.

It is true that our skin does absorb what we put on it so it is necessary to select products for our skin as we would if we were ingesting it internally.  We would not want to put something on our skin that we wouldn't want to put into our bodies, now would we?

The spring line will be a non proprietary blend of carrier and essential oils and some additional ingredients.  As a blend these oils will complement one another and offer healing and lustre to the skin.  Some will have SPF properties so will protect to some extent from UVA & UVB rays, others contain omegas that are great for the skin, some are exceptionally moisturizing and nourishing.  Each of them will serve a specific purpose and blended together will be incredibly beneficial to the skin and the body.  

Oils are wonderful because the don't clog the pores, and as I stated earlier contain some SPF protection, are easily transported and easy to apply. Applying when you are still moist and leaving the bath or shower is how you get the most benefits by sealing in the moisture and allowing the oils to acclimate to your body before you dress.  Secondly, when you apply them and rub them over your body your are treating yourself  to a healthy personal stimulating massage.

Some of the most popular oils I'll discuss are sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, apricot oil, carrot seed oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil, and avocado oil.  The buzz oils now are Argan and Shea nut butter and  Mango oil.  Next post I'll discuss a few of them and share their specific characteristics and how they benefit the health of the skin and body.

Spring is upon us and brings with her all things fresh and new.  The old has passed away and newness is everywhere.  And as the earth sheds in autumn, so have we shed in the winter and come to our newness in the spring.  I have thus created a line of wonderful naturally pure face and body oils to make your body smile. They may be used in the spring, summer or fall and are wonderful for the entire body.

These nectar's are distinctive blends of almond oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, babbassu oil,  apricot oil, carrot oil, emu oil, vitamin e, Shea nut oil, borage seed oil, calendula and others.  I add to my blends essential oils specific to the need desire or condition, among other ingredients.  These oils may be purchased as such, or special blends can be created if you so desire.  I also have a wonderful clay mask that has a flower tea added to the clay that creates a wonderful erotic and spiritual experience to open the pores, draw out toxins and then tighten them for a cleansing and firming facial which follows with the oil best suited for your need.

These blends are light, and depending on the blend offer a significant or minimal amount of SPF protection as.  You get a shimmery, look all over the body as if dew dust had been dropped on you as you walk under the spring sunset or the summer sun.

I also have a light and refreshing series of solid perfumes that may be used after the shower with just a hint of scent as we enter those hot days.
